At only 2 miles long by 1 mile wide, Costa Teguise is the smallest of the 3 major Lanzarote resorts, but is second only to Puerto Del Carmen in terms of popularity. As noted in the Costa Teguise map below, Costa Teguise is situated close to Arrecife. It lies 9 kilometers northeast of the island’s capital and is only 14 kilometers from its airport.

The Costa Teguise map also shows the 4 major beaches lining up its coast. Playa de las Cucharas sits in the middle. It is the largest of the beaches and is often frequented by windsurfers due to its trade winds. It is famous for its wide range of water sports and entertainment. Next to it lies the smaller, white sandy beach called Playa Charcos, also a favorite among windsurfers. Further down south are the Playa Jablillo and Playa Bastian beaches, which are quieter and less windy. As such, these two beaches are patronized by families with small children.
Other places of interest on the map of Costa Teguise are:
- Jardin de Cactus, which showcases 10,000 cacti
- Pueblo Marinero, a fishing village designed by the famous artist and architect, Cesar Manrique
- Town of Teguise, the former capital of the island.
The location of Costa Teguise is advantageous to tourists in that it is within a day’s reach of any of the notable attractions in Lanzarote. Guests of this resort should take the opportunity to visit Parque Nacional de Timanfaya, Fundacion Cesar Manrique, Cueva de los Verdes, and other key places in the island.
